Christopher Lee Nutter
is a writer, public speaker and media consultant lin New York City.

His first story on life inside the closet appeared in Details magazine in 1994. He has since written on cultural trends for The Village Voice, Vibe, The New York Times and New York Magazine; gay issues and politics for The Village Voice and Out; spiritual classes, spiritual teachers and trauma therapy for Time Out New York; and the nature of book publicity for Publisher’s Weekly. He was also a nightlife columnist for HX magazine in New York; a contributor to the grooming section of Cargo magazine; and the first writer to report on the influence of gay culture on straight men in a piece for The Village Voice, with essays and reportage to follow in The Advocate and The Gay and Lesbian Review Worldwide, and interviews on VH-1 and Naked New York.

His media consulting clients include Proof Photo, representing many renowned contemporary photographers; personal trainer Leia Taylor; custom publisher Hammond Editions; commercial photographers John Arsenault and Alen MacWeeney; and graphic design agency Chermayeff & Geismar. Chris also teaches classes on PR for Media Bistro. His nation branding slogan for Panama was published in the September issue of Conde Nast Traveler.

Chris is currently on the gay men’s health advisory committee for the New York City Department of Health. He speaks around the country on the power of awareness to create the kind of personal reality your heart desires for organizations such as the NYC Dept. of Health, The Learning Annex, and Equality Alabama.
